What Ring PRO promises.
Bengaluru-based Ultrahuman announced Ring PRO in February 2026 and began shipping during June and July. The current India product page lists ₹44,999 including the PRO charging case; the US list price is $479. The company claims up to 15 days between charges, up to 250 days of onboard data storage, BLE 5.3, on-chip machine learning, a redesigned heart-rate sensor array, titanium construction, and a cuttable ProRelease design for finger swelling or injury.
Unlike Oura, basic access to ring data does not require a recurring subscription. Optional services or PowerPlugs may still carry separate prices, so “no subscription” should be read as no mandatory subscription for core ring data—not a guarantee that every future ecosystem feature is free.
The battery claim changes the category—if it holds.
Charging creates missing data and abandonment. A ring that reliably doubles common smart-ring endurance could make longer trends more complete, reduce travel friction, and slow charge-cycle accumulation. The included case adds value for people who travel.
“Up to 15 days” is still a manufacturer maximum. Actual endurance varies with size, feature use, firmware, temperature, battery age, and syncing. Ring PRO only began reaching customers recently, so long-term battery retention and failure rates cannot be judged responsibly yet.
Accuracy is currently the central unknown.
Ultrahuman publishes analyses using Ring AIR data and a company-hosted comparison of overnight heart-rate overlap with Apple Watch and a sleep-testing device. Those sources can generate hypotheses, but they are not an independent polysomnography or ECG validation of Ring PRO’s redesigned hardware.
We did not identify peer-reviewed independent validation of Ring PRO for sleep stages, sleep/wake, resting heart rate, HRV, temperature, steps, or activity as of 18 July 2026. Even positive Ring AIR findings cannot be assumed to transfer because the sensor architecture and processing changed.
Unknown does not mean inaccurate. It means the public evidence is not yet strong or direct enough to judge the shipping product. Early reviewer agreement with another wearable would also be agreement between consumer devices—not validation against a reference standard.
India changes the value calculation.
Ultrahuman’s local presence, UPI-friendly commerce, regional support, and integration with its broader India wellness ecosystem may make Ring PRO more practical than imported competitors for some buyers. The ₹44,999 price is still substantial, and hardware support quality matters more when a non-replaceable battery lives inside a sealed ring.
The company’s ProRelease design is a thoughtful response to a real ring-wear risk: fingers can swell, and electronics should not prevent safe removal. That is a design feature, not a guarantee against sizing, skin, battery, or durability problems. Use the sizing kit and remove any ring that causes persistent pain, numbness, pressure, or marks.
Who should consider it—and who should wait?
- A required subscription is a firm deal-breaker.
- Battery endurance and offline storage matter more than mature validation.
- You prefer an India-based product and support route.
- You accept early-generation hardware uncertainty.
- Sleep or HRV accuracy is your primary buying criterion.
- You need long-term reliability evidence before spending ₹44,999.
- You expect the ring to guide a medical decision.
- You already have a functioning Ring AIR or another recent tracker.
The HealthFit decision
Ring PRO is an exciting engineering proposition and perhaps the cleanest philosophical competitor to recurring wearable subscriptions. That makes it worth watching, not automatically worth buying at launch. A 15-day ring should be judged after real shipping units have completed independent validation and meaningful long-term use.
Early adopters may reasonably choose Ring PRO for battery and ownership economics. Evidence-first buyers should wait for independent model-specific validation and several months of reliability history.
Ring PRO is a consumer wellness product. Sleep, recovery, stress, HRV, temperature, and other outputs do not diagnose disease or establish that symptoms are safe to ignore.
